PIP Arbitrations

I welcome the opportunity to demonstrate my firm’s expertise in handling PIP Arbitration matters. My firm represents a number of chiropractors, orthopedic surgeons, pain management specialists, MRI facilities, and surgical centers.
You will be provided with a copy of the arbitration demand, notice of the hearing, and other important documents. The firm will notify you immediately of PIP regulation changes and how best to respond to those changes. I have built a successful PIP practice based on this relationship. Our goal is to get your bills paid in a timely manner. I am always available by phone to answer questions you may have. The law firm of Joseph A. Massood, Esq. has over a 95% success rate at arbitration. You are not charged any fee and this firm will pay the costs to file the demand for arbitration. If we prevail the insurance carrier is required to pay our fee.

Please note it is important to determine if the policy of insurance has been exhausted. Unfortunately the New Jersey Legislator has allowed the insurance carriers to write Dollar-A-Day policies which provide no insurance coverage at all and the basic policy of insurance which only provides only $15,000.00 of PIP coverage.

Compiling the documents needed to file a PIP arbitration is easy. Just have your secretary copy the patient’s file and forward it to the law firm. The file can be sent by mail, fax or e-mail. The following documents must be included:

  • Assignment of Benefits;
  • Pre-certification requests with fax transmittal sheets for treatment;
  • Itemized medical bills or HICFs;
  • EOBs statement from the insurance carrier.

The following documents should be enclosed:

  • Medical reports (EMGs, MRIs etc.);
  • Progress notes and monthly patient evaluation reports;
  • Denial letters from the insurance carrier and IME reports.

The following documents need to be enclosed if applicable:

The firm codes your medical bills in accordance with New Jersey Law and provides an itemized CPT worksheet. The worksheet will provide an itemized list of service by date which indicates the exact amount you are due in accordance with New Jersey Law.

I hope this information is helpful and I look forward to working with you in the future. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Very Truly Yours,
